Artist Salon with Master Printer Bud Shark, April 19th, 4 - 6 PM

Shark will be speaking in conjunction with our current exhibition, Shark's Ink: Collaborations.  This amazing show features prints that he has created over the years with a broad range of significant artists from across the country.

Artist Salon Featuring Master Printer Bud Shark

The Salon will run from 4 to 6 PM, on Saturday April 19th, 2014.

Due to the overwhelming response, the exhibition itself has been extended and will be up through May and will be included in the annual  RiNo Arts District Safari on May 17th.


Shark's Ink: Collaborations, Up Through May 2014

Pattern Shop Studio is thrilled to be debuting a new exhibition, "Shark's Ink: Collaborations" on First Friday March 7th, from 6 to 9 pm.  The exhibition, which is in conjunction with the Denver Month of Print (Mo'Print), includes dozens of spectacular prints by artists who have collaborated over the years with Master Printmaker Bud Shark at his Lyons studio and press. Artists whose woodcuts, monoprints and lithographs appear in the show include John Buck, Enrique Chagoya, Red Grooms, Robert Kushner, Hung Liu, Barbara Takenaga and Betty Woodman among other notables.

The exhibition will have a reception on First Friday April 4th, and again on First Friday May 2nd. Additionally, Bud Shark will be on hand to speak about his collaborations and about individual prints on Saturday, April 19th, from 4 to 6 pm. The exhibit will also be open to the public on Thursday afternoons and available for private viewing by groups and individuals any day of the week (call 303-297-9831 to schedule your visit).

From The Vault, An Exhibition of Rarely seen work by Sharon Bond Brown, Closing Reception 7 February

The Pattern Shop Studio will be hosting a Winter Open House/Open Studio on First Friday, February 7, from 6 to 9 pm.  On exhibition will be paintings by resident artist Sharon Brown, pulled from the Pattern Shop vault.  The show, called From The Vault, includes a wide range of seldom seen paintings.  Visitors will also be able to tour the award winning loft designed by Denver architect David Tryba, one of the first and most spectacular live/work spaces in the old industrial neighborhood that has become the RiNo Art District.
