« Harry MacLean Book Signing at the PSS - July 23, 5:30 - 8PM | Main | Final Week to See The Origins of Photography, Past and Present »

Lazy Summer at the Pattern Shop

Sharon Bond Brown, Lake Chairs, 1997, oil on canvas, 19 x 38 inches

After the tremendous success of our last two shows, Reid Weimer's 'Abstractions' and the Month of Photography exhibition 'The Origins of Photography: Past and Present', we've decided to take a little time off.  During our summer break, we plan to enjoy Colorado, explore new ways to create art and read a lot of books.

Your next chance to see art at the PSS will be in September when our next exhibition, Oil + Water, will open in September and will feature new work by Susan Planalp and Sharon.

However, there will be one chance this summer to visit us, as we are excited to announce that the PSS will host the release party for local true crime author Harry Maclean's first fiction novel 'The Joy of Killing'.  The party will be on July 23 from 6 to 8pm.  Maclean will be on hand to sign copies of the new book, which will be on sale during the event, and will perform a reading.  Even before its official publishing date, the book has begun to recieve very positive reviews, including Publisher's Weekly and Kurkus Reviews.
