The Pattern Shop Studio will open Denver Arts Week with an exhibition of new large watercolors by Ralph Nagel entitled Lily Pond Series. The show will run through January 1, 2016. During that period, the studio will be open:
Always artistically inclined, Ralph Nagel began painting seriously after selling the Meridian Retirement Communities. He is cofounder of the Paris based Les Rats des Champs and Colorado Studio 208. He has spent years painting en plein air not only in Colorado but throughout Asia and Europe. His oils and watercolors are in private collections in the Americas, Australia, France, Italy, Brazil, Thailand and New Zealand.
Nagel’s Lily Pond Series consists of paintings focused on a small pond in Provence, France. They typify his style: a keen eye, intense colors, energetic brushwork, spontaneity, and manifest passion for his subject.
