Exhibitions > ASLD Best of Summer Art Market 2016

The Pattern Shop Studio is pleased to present Best of Summer Art Market 2016, an exhibition featuring work by the artists who won awards at this year’s Art Students League Invitational. The show will open with a reception on Friday, November 4th, 2016 and close with a reception on Friday, December 2nd. An Artist’s Salon will be held on Saturday, November 12th from 3 to 6pm.

The artists:

William Bishop received a B.A. in Computer Math and Fine Art from Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado in 1998, graduating summa cum laude. He also earned an Associate’s Degree in Graphic Arts from Platte College in 1993. Working primarily with ink on paper and illustration board, Bishop has continued to hone his craft by taking classes at Metro State College in Denver, Aurora Community College, and the Art Students League of Denver. He has sold work at various coop galleries in the Denver area, and has done commissioned portrait work for several clients. Bishop was awarded Best of Show at the ASLD 2016 Summer Art Market.

Grace Boudreau is a painter who was born in Chatearoux, France and lives in Evergreen, CO. She studied at Red Rocks Community College and Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design. Boudreau has been a member of the ASLD since 1995 and has attended several workshops, including Taos New Mexico, with Kim English, Pecos, New Mexico with Don Sahli, Joane Bruell-Ruggles and Robert Burridge in San Luis Obispo, R&F Paints Encaustic Workshop,Kingston, New York. Her work has been exhibited in several group and solo shows in Denver and Evergreen, CO. Boudreau was awarded the Meininger Award at the ASLD 2016 Summer Art Market.

Victoria Eubanks brings close to thirty years of graphic sensibility and design experience to her art studio. Her work is shown in both local and national galleries, and is included in many corporate collections. Eubanks continually studies and explores her medium with artists whose work she admires and teaches encaustics at the ASLD. Eubanks was awarded Best Mastery of Media and Technique at the ASLD 2016 Summer Art Market.

Bill Rohs co-founder of emBOLDen Alliances is a self-taught artist whose many years of humanitarian work overseas have inspired his practice. He has exhibited in several group shows in the Denver area and was selected as a Denver TEDx featured artist. He has won 3 awards at the Parkview Arts Festival since 2013. Rohs was awarded Best Creative Interpretation at the ASLD 2016 Summer Art Market.

Rita Vali is a ceramic artist who has shown her work in Colorado, Wisconsin, Missouri, New Mexico, Texas and Minnesota and has been featured in 500 Teacups, Niche Magazine and Colorado Homes and Lifestyles. She is an instructor at the ASLD and has taught at Mudslingers Pottery, Louisville Colorado and the Pennsylvania State University Ceramic Art Center. Vali was awarded Best Booth Presentation at the ASLD 2016 Summer Art Market.

Mami Yamamoto is a printmaker, originally from Japan, who now lives and works in Colorado. She is represented by Hannah By Design Gallery. Yamamoto was awarded First Runner Up at the ASLD 2016 Summer Art Market.
